The Green House, a photograph taken by Sandy Skoglund, represents a non-traditional type of photography. Known as "staged photography," photographers design their own pictures using their imaginations and wit to manipulate scenes and create new pictorial worlds. In this particular photograph, Skoglund uses papier mache and plaster to create a fascinating world of colorful dogs and a "green house" living room. It is fascinating to see photographs such as this one that can be mistaken for a painting.
