I thought this was a beautiful Obelisk. I studied about it in Medieval Art History back at my home school, but seeing it in person was something greater than a wonder. This made me feel like I had made the right choice in my major: art. A person cannot truly appreciate something like this without having to try and create sculpture and/or study the art history behind this monument. Just like a camera makes you feel when you hear it click after taking a picture, I feel the same devotion and love seeing this. This feeling is indescribable & grand, something of the marvelous.
